Rodney Sterne, owner/president was born and raised right here in Crystal Lake, IL. He attended Crystal Lake schools K-Mc Henry County College and served with US Army from 1974-1976 with tour in South Korea.

Founded in 1978, R&S Painters (later renamed RS Painters L.L.C. in December 2002) has operated in the Northern Illinois area for more than 30 years. The office was located in Crystal Lake IL from 1978 until moving to Cary IL in 1999. We have painted everything from residential interior and exterior, to petroleum storage tanks, to multi-family housing units and office buildings inside & out!

Jeremy Campbell of Johnsburg, IL heads up the crew as foreman and has worked for RSPLLC since 2004.

All of our painters are highly skilled and trained by Rodney himself, not just for quality of work but applying safety as a necessity in everyday workmanship.

RS Painters, LLC has had a contract with Nicor Gas Co for the past 11 years doing everything from painting exteriors of the buildings, gas lines, bathrooms, locker rooms, offices and garages. In the last 30 plus years RS Painters, LLC has also been contracted to paint interiors & exteriors of condos and townhouses with multi-year contracts. 

We pride ourselves on the quality of painting services done for the hundreds of homeowners in the past 30 plus years. Residential painting and decorating is our bread and butter.
